Age of Empires 4 Announcement – Trailer
With an Age of Empires 4 trailer, Microsoft has finally announced a new part for the popular real-time strategy series after many years.
A new trailer for Age of Empires 4 was announced at the X019 conference in London. After the first talk about this game at Gamescom 2017, Microsoft now shows the gameplay of the game for the first time. However, a release date has not yet been announced. Part 4 of the Age of Empires series will be developed by Relic Entertainment.
Clear to see is a medieval setting, which should please many fans of the series. Even though Age of Empires IV was announced many years ago as a game in modern times, the Middle Ages is certainly one of the much more popular scenarios. It shows a medieval city and also troops of the Middle Ages, such as spearmen, lancers, archers, crossbowmen, knights and siege machines.
I am very much looking forward to this title and will report here on this page more often about new developments and information about the game. Are you also looking forward to AoE4? Please write to me your Age of Empires experiences and stories in the comments.
► Note: Age of Empires Beta Program
For very interested players there is an Age of Empires Insider program from Microsoft. Here you can register and apply to participate in beta-tests for Age of Empires IV or other versions. This requires a XBOX Live account and a survey. The Age of Empires Insider program can be found here.
